My intention was a study on perspectives. Like usual, the universe had other plans for me and like always, I was the last to realize it.
My plan was to spend a week at the Nebraska State capitol and shoot the corridors and hallways playing off of the lines and geometry so prevalent everywhere in the building. There was only one small problem. I had never BEEN in the building.
Not for any length of time anyway and I didn’t realize the magnificence of the structure I was going to use to shoot “perspectives” of.
Oh, and I didn’t realize how dark it was. The technical challenges alone were daunting. The adventure in making it happen was thrilling. This is an important iconic building. I know that now.
I also know that my work here is not done and I can’t wait for the weekends in which I get to go spend another afternoon at “my” capitol.
